Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
FreePDF Tools is designed so supported PDF and image operations happen inside your browser. This policy explains what that means and what normal website services may still receive.
Your documents and images
Files you select for the PDF tools are read by JavaScript running in your browser. FreePDF Tools does not intentionally upload the contents of those selected documents or images to our own server for conversion, and we do not provide server-side document storage. Generated files are created locally and offered back to your browser for download.
Your browser must still download the website code and third-party software libraries needed to run a tool. Those network requests are separate from the document bytes you select.
Server and hosting logs
Like most websites, the hosting provider may process technical request information needed to deliver pages, such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device information, and security-related metadata. Hosting logs are controlled by the hosting provider and its applicable policies.
Third-party software libraries
Tool pages currently load open-source browser libraries from content-delivery networks, including pdf-lib, PDF.js and JSZip. When your browser requests those library files, the CDN may receive standard connection and request data such as your IP address and user agent. The PDF or image you select is not sent as part of those library requests.
Advertising and cookies
FreePDF Tools may use Google AdSense or another disclosed advertising provider to fund the free service. When advertising is enabled, advertising providers may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers or similar technologies to deliver, measure and limit ads, subject to their policies and applicable law.
Google and its advertising partners may use advertising cookies when Google-served ads are active. Visitors can learn about Google's advertising controls at My Ad Center and about Google's data practices at How Google uses information for advertising.
Where consent is legally required, advertising will be configured through an appropriate consent-management solution. A privacy or cookie settings control will be made available through that consent platform when advertising is activated for affected visitors.
Analytics
No analytics product is required for the PDF tools themselves. If privacy-respecting traffic analytics are added later, this policy will be updated before or when that collection begins.
External links
This site may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are their own and are not controlled by FreePDF Tools.
Children's privacy
The service is a general-purpose document utility and is not directed specifically to children. Do not use the site to process information in a way that violates applicable privacy or child-protection law.
Changes
This policy may change as hosting, advertising or site functionality changes. The date at the top will be updated when material revisions are published.
